Barrhead & District 4-H (Horse)

A big congratulations goes out to Barrhead & District 4-H (Horse), one of our 2024 Rural Roots recipients that received a $500 Rural Roots award at our 2024 AGM held on April 17, 2024.

Barrhead and District 4-H (Horse) Council is a not-for-profit organization that is focused on youth learning to do by doing. Their project is agriculturally based and led by adult members in the community. Members receive hands on training to take care of their animals, learn riding skills and horse knowledge from trained leaders. Members range from ages 6-17 and are part of the Meadowview 4-H Club and Freedom Naples 4-H Club. The group is working towards bringing in a clinic for Members to subsidize the cost for all participants.https://www.facebook.com/BarrheadDistrict4H
