By remembering to turn lights off when you leave a room, you can help reduce your overall energy consumption and ultimately save yourself money on your utility bill.

Daylight can also be used to your advantage by letting in free light so you don't even have to turn your lights on during the day! Keep your curtains and shades open during the day to provide free, natural light.  Decorating with lighter colors that reflect daylight can help as well.
