A big congratulations goes out to St. Aidens Community Church of Glenreagh and Bloomsbury, one of our 2024 Rural Roots recipients that received a $500 Rural Roots award at our 2024 AGM held on April 17, 2024.

St. Aidens Community Church of Glenreagh and Bloomsbury is located five miles from the town of Barrhead, and was built in 1913. For the last 48 years, the property has been maintained by volunteers and in December 2023 the churches were set on fire (arson). The church is now fundraising to rebuild the churches that were a pillar to the local community. They have strong rural roots and stand as a testament to the early pioneers of the area.
