The following tips can help you reduce your overall consumption this winter.
Make sure you change the direction of airflow on your ceiling fan. In the winter, change your fan's direction to turn clockwise, drawing cooler air up and allowing warmer air to be pushed toward the floor.
Put down a rug to help insulate your floors, and to keep your feet warm as you travel through out your home.
Install a furnace filter alarm. This will let you know when it's time to change your filters. Don't forget to check your furnace filter monthly during the winter months and replace it if it's dirty. Keeping the filter properly maintained can also improve air quality in your home.
