Did you know that birds are another leading cause of power outages in our service territory. If you feed birds near your transformer pole, please note that they are more likely to make contact with our facilities. Keeping this in mind, please place bird feeders far away from our facilities to minimize the chances of these animals causing a potential power outage!

If you are a Member that is experiencing difficulties, please contact our office to speak with a Customer Service Representative who will help you explore making secure, reasonable payment arrangements. All eligible customers will receive a $300.00 rebate in total on their power bill. This rebate will be implemented over a six month period with credits of $50.00 applied each month. The first three rebates were displayed on the June, July and August 2022 power bills. The remaining three $50.00 rebates will be displayed on September, October and November power bills.

Did you know that lightning can not only cause a power outage, but it can also cause extensive damage to our electrical distribution facilities? If contact is made, the lightning can travel through the pole to find a path to ground, often resulting in the pole to split into multiple pieces. The below photo is an example of a pole in our service territory that was struck by lightning, that we went on to replace. The entire top has split open and you can see the split going all
