Energy Saving Tips

The following tips can help you reduce your energy consumption on your next power bill! 1. Turn off your computer! If you have to leave your computer on all day while you are away, just turn off the monitor. 2. Pull the plug whenever you can. Cellphone and camera chargers can still draw power even when a device is not plugged into them. This is also known as phantom power use.

Energy Saving Tips

Did you know that LED Christmas light bulb on average uses 50% less energy than a traditional incandescent bulb? Also, on average an incandescent bulb lasts for 1,000 hours, as opposed to an LED which can last up to 25,000 hours without having to be replaced. This means that not only will you save energy by switching to LED bulbs, you will also save money in bulb replacement costs. Switch your incandescent bulbs to LED today and start to see your savings ADD up over, not only over the Christmas Holidays, but year round!

Holiday Energy Saving Tips

With Christmas fast approaching, these great tips can help you cut down on your energy usage this holiday season. Consider a motion sensor and or a timer for your Christmas and yard lights. Turn down the thermostat when you have several guests over. Your house will more than likely become warmer with all of the extra bodies moving around. Install a low flow shower head to save on hot water and energy costs when you have large amounts of family staying with you over the holiday season.
