Energy Saving Tips- Efficient Cooking
Match your pot size to the burner size. When you’re cooking on the stove top, match the size of the pot or pan you’re using to the size of the burner on your stove. If you cook a small pot on the large burner, you’re wasting 30-40% of the electricity needed. Your best bet is just to match burner size to your pot size. Use your oven effectively. Taking advantage of the oven light is a tremendous energy saver, as opposed to opening the oven door to check on your food.
