Vegetation Management

If you have any questions or if you see vegetation close to an overhead power line, please help us by calling our office @ 780-349-3655 during regular business hours or, the 24 Hour Emergency Call Center @ 1-877-749-3655 with the land location and details of the problem area along with contact information where you can be reached. With safety in mind, under no circumstances should you try to remove the vegetation yourself.

PPO September 21, 2017

On Thursday September 21, 2017 there will be a planned power outage (PPO). This PPO will affect approximately 10 Members south of Westlock between 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM within sections 20, 21, 28, 29, 32, & 33 of 59-26.

Electrical Safety Display

Wild Rose REA Ltd. has an Electrical Safety Display available for presentations at Elementary Schools. This display is handled by a certified power line technician and demonstrates the dangers that are present around power lines in rural settings. If you are interested in having Wild Rose REA come to your school to do a free short presentation on safety around power lines please contact our office at 780-349-3655.

Power Outage RESTORED- Hazel Bluff Area

**Please note that power has been restored at the below noted locations.** We are currently experiencing a power outage in the Hazel Bluff area that is affecting Members within the LSD's of 60-27 & 60-01. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to restore power.

Kites and Power Line Safety

Flying kites near power lines and electrical facilities is dangerous and can disrupt services if a kite gets tangled in a power line. Keep the following tips in mind while kite flying to stay SAFE! Tips to fly kites safely: Fly your kite in an open area, far away from overhead power lines and electricity facilities. If the wind pushes your kite near a power line, let go of it. Avoid flying kites made with metallic wires or parts. Never fly a kite that is damp or wet. Never attempt to remove a kite or any object caught in power lines.

Are you planning on building a new fence this fall? Make sure you know your responsibilities before you dig. Power Line Safety

Accidents involving power lines do not just damage equipment, but can also cause serious injuries. To ensure safety, double check the location of all power lines along your route when moving large farm machinery between fields or on public roadways. If in doubt when planning your route, please contact our office and we will help you plan a safe passage. Never attempt to measure the height of a power line yourself. In the event that you do make contact with a power line, stay calm and call Emergency Services (911) and the REA for assistance (1-877-749-3655).

August's statements have been emailed and mailed. Current charges are due by the 20th of each month to avoid penalty. Please allow sufficient time for your payment to reach our office.
