Energy Saving Tips

Try to beat the heat this summer with this energy saving tip! During the hot summer days, keep your windows and blinds closed to keep the hot air outside. When it cools off in the evening, open all of the windows to let in some fresh cool air! Doing this will help keep your house cooler naturally without having to turn on the AC!

Vegetation Management

Our patrols are ongoing, however we cannot be everywhere at the same time. If you see vegetation close to an overhead primary power line, please help us by calling our office at 780-349-3655 with the land location and details of the problem area along with contact information where you can be reached. With safety in mind, under no circumstances should you try to remove the vegetation yourself.

7 Meter Rule

Safe Limit of Approach to Power Lines - 7 Meter Rule You and your equipment MUST stay a minimum of 7 METRES away from overhead power lines when parked or operating equipment. If you need to work closer then 7 metres, please contact Wild Rose REA Ltd. at 780-349-3655 for authorization.

Energy Saving Tips

Summer can be a great time for energy savings! Dry your laundry outdoors. Line drying uses zero energy. Open the blinds to let natural light into your home. Avoid cooking inside on the hottest days. BBQ instead.

Moving Anything?

If the total height of your load on an unpaved road exceeds 4.2 meters, or 5.3 meters on a numbered highway or paved road, it is considered a high load. Please contact Wild Rose REA Ltd. to arrange the escort of the load through a planned route within the REA service area. Wild Rose REA Ltd. requires a minimum of 5 working days notice to schedule a high load.
